Hi all,
just want to say a big THANK YOU to all who contributed to my post. I've gotten all my questions answered plus finding out where to get a replacement part as well.
I knew I've come to the right place:biglaugh:
you mean it pipes heated coolant through so it can help heat warm air and sent it into the cabin? Why would the coolant be able to get into the engine? Are the two systems connected?
Tim
hi all,
I have a 1986 1/2 Supra which recently just blew one of its coolant hoses and sprayed coolant all over the place.
After opening the hood, I realized that one of the hoses is disconnected from one of the "valves". This thing is located right ahead of the passenger compartment on...
I just had my battery tested today and it's not holding a charge so I purchased a new one. I also bought one of those handy battery+alternator test gauges that you hook up to the battery to test the 2 systems.
With the new battery, the battery test went smoothly, but when I started up the...
Hi all,
I recently got a 1986 1/2 Mark III Supra, had the engine replaced with a lower milage 7MGE engine. Everything seemed fine until one day when I was driving it, all of a sudden, the hand break light, tail light failure lamp and the battery warning light all came on at the same time...
by the way, am I correct in assuming I can attach the ground wire to any metal surface or is there a spot on the Supra designed specificly for people to attach ground wires to?
Tim
I understand that the ground completes the circuit but is it still true if that ground is suppose to only attach to a metal part on the car?
Sorry if this sounded like a dump question but I'm an idiot when it comes to anything EE related :)
thanks
Tim
Hi all,
After reading everyone's response on the subject, I ordered a pair of E-spec Hella 200mm reflectors, a hair of Philips X-Treme Power H4 and a wireing harness with fuse.
I connected everything (except for the ground wire which sort of just dangles around without a metal contact) and...
This looks very good, I think I'll go with this set. The next question is, where can I go to get the wireing harness with H6054 plugs going into H4 bulbs?
Tim
Thanks alot for all the great input guys, really appreciate it. Got a few follow up question after reading all your responses:
1) There are quite a few who mentioned SilverStar as the drop in replacement of choice but isn't XtraVision suppose to provide more light output than SilverStar? From...
Hi all,
I just got a 1986.5 Mark III Supra and wanted to upgrade the headlight because the standard H6054 is so dim the light's barely usable. I'm wondering what's the cheapest, easiest and most effective upgrade I can do?
So far I have found 2 options, 1) upgrade to a Sylvania Xtra Vision...
