    Overheating help needed

If it is a Japanese market version a speed warning will beep when you go over 120 km/hr. When I rode in my in-law's Mark 2 in Japan, it beep at exactly 120 km/h, it has a digital dash so it was easy to tell. annoying the hell out of you. If all the gauges are OK I would not worry...

    measuring valve clearance

    measuring valve clearance

The same 25 mm shim is also used in a gazillion Honda CB750 from the 70s/80s, most bike shops have them in stock. At around $6 a piece, it adds up quick if you need to change all 24 valves, so junk yard is the way to go if you need a lot. You may be able to swap shim between valves to get...

    white residue in turbo exhaust

I removed my turbo the other day and noticed the exhaust side is covered by a layer of white ash residue, it can be removed brushing hard with a wire brush, i wonder what that is ?? The inlet to the turbine is also covered in white so I do not believe it comes from a leaking turbo seal...

    Fuel Return Goes to What??

Bottom of the Aeromotive FPR is the return port with a AN fitting. If the crack is downstream you won't need to worry about the FPR. Rubber hose will be fine just make sure it is far far away from any heat source and sharp corners. Toyota used rubber return hose in the MK2. Cut and flare...

    Cooling Problem? or bad HG?

Sounds like a BHG. When my HG blew it overheated like hell, there was no oil in coolant, and oil color was normal. Remove the plugs to see if they are all the same color, and look into the plug hole if any of piston is wet.

BHG! Now that I have that off my chest...

Are you going to do it yourself or by a shop ? Parts for the bottom end, bushings, piston rings, gasket kit etc are not that expensive (less than $200) if no machining is required. If you are doing it yourself you may as well pull the motor and do the bottom end. If you are paying someone...

    JDM vs US spec CT-26

Is the turbine shaft same for all CT-26 ? My problem is the ring groove on the turbine side is more shallow that other Ct-26. Kinda stuck now and if all fail I may have to reuse the old ring. Anyone knows of a turbo shop familar with CT-26 ?

    JDM vs US spec CT-26

Anyone has any experience rebuilding a JDM CT-26 Turbo ? I ordered a rebuild kit but the turbine end piston ring does not fit, the guy I bought it from says it is the right size for a US spec CT-26. The piston ring that came off the turbo is made with 0.037" thick wire, but the new ring...
