Future plans are to pull the motor back out and do a 383 swap. Need to finish painting the car, put in a new windshield and swap out the rear for a LSD 3.73 (which I have but need to install).

Who do you believe makes or made the best factory turbo car? Toyota with the Supra? Buick with the Grand National? Volvo? Subaru with the WRX? Dodge with the Daytona? I know this is a Supra Forum, but there are other factory turbo cars as well.

:aigo: I tried that once with degreaser and shop towels, my fingers were numb for a couple days after. OUCH! Might try a drill with a wire wheel on the end. Pull it next to an area you can hang a trash bag on so the debris doesn't go everywhere. :icon_bigg

Got a pressure washer? If not, load it up in the back of your truck and head to the local car wash. Even if you do have a pressure washer, all that grit and grime is better left at the car wash instead of your drive. Car wash cleaning seems to work real well for engine / trannys.

More pics of the engine finished. I'll try and post up a video of me doing a burnout tomorrow. 4.33 open diff, I don't like, 3.73's should be just fine.

It RUNS AND DRIVES! WHOOO HOOOOO! The driveshaft ran me $129 to have built. Not bad at all. 1st gear is way to steep though. Great for smokey burnouts, bad for any kind of launch. I'm looking for a good deal on a set of 3.73 rear gears for the car now (LSD of course). But for the time...
Hmmm..... could be a fun upgrade! Put an intercooler in front of the radiator. Run dual turbo's on each side from a 1987(yr?) Turbo 4 Cylinder Ford Thunderbird or a Cougar XR7. Hook up some pipes, wastegate, ignition control, boost gauge, and a carb hat. Now I'm seriously considering this...
Turbo's would be nice and so would a supercharger. However, I'll be using Nitrous instead. I don't need all that power all the time. Just some of the time.

Too tight of a fit to put on turbo's. It was originally a N/A and will continue to be so. Except I'll probably add some 'juice' like a 125hp shot of Nitrous. It'll be loud. Will be running dual sidepipes. It's meant to be rude.

Here are a few video's of my 1987 Toyota Supra project vehicle. Pulled the dead 7M motor out and put in a 350 Chevy Vortec with a 700R4 transmission. So here are a few videos.

Thanks man! I think I will post it up on the vid section. To bad my digital camera / recorder doesn't pick up better audio. Can't get the full effect of the engine thumpin'. Car will be LOUD at WOT with the sidepipes.

Here's another Youtube.com video of the engine back up and running again. It'll be stupid fast. I think a Nitrous tank would fit in nicely where the spare tire used to be.

You're right, there are a few parts that need hosed down and spray painted black. Like the alternator bracked and water pump. Here's a few more pictures of it. I got it running today! I'm loading a picture to Youtube.com and will post it up shortly. Should make this thing a rocket sled on...
That's pretty much what the inside of that gas tank will look like too. Nice find though. I'm jelous. Thought $600 was good for a project, but $90!?! WoW!

I'm exhausted. Spent most of the day working on the car again. Took the gas tank down to remove the in tank fuel pump. Going to run a Holley external fuel pump & pressure regulator. Mount it right next to the tank where the rear exhaust heat sheild was. Won't be needing that shield, I'm...
