AFM bypass- any method of allowing unmetered air into the system....i.e. allowing air to bypass the AFM. this is effectively what the lexus AFM does....but it can be anything- a filter post-AFM, an air tube running from the filter past the AFM, etc.
nope, you're not understanding it correctly...
so how is the AFM limiting you? the stock AFM has produced well over 500 hp....
if you're looking for a way around FCO, just increse fuel press and pull more signal out via the SAFC....or run an AFM bypass.
sure, you could use the MAFT pro to just provide the speed/density coversion....but...
depends on the WB. some have dual outputs (the LC-1 does), so you simply program one for WB and one for the NB output that the ECU is expecting.
no, the ECU will not run on the std. WB output (0-5V).
if you program it, no it doesn't matter. IIRC out of the box output 2 is programmed correctly and output 1 isn't....hence the recommendation to use output 2.
yessir, it does. i run that exact combo.
yessir, a WB applies to ANY engine.....granted ratios change w/varied fuel (ethanol, methanol, diesel, propane, etc....)
