    Help with Maintenance

This is not a car I would buy. It would kill me to drive it. I saw an 85 Supra sell for about 18,000 about 3 years back (white one) and thats not near the car this is (imo). There are people who would be willing to pay 25,000'ish for something like this. Should be worth 30-40k.. but who's gonna...

Stupid Question time - Driving from Canada to US

Cat stays off, sorry. It may go on again later.. but for now, I cant afford the time or more $$ for something that I am still not convinced is needed on my car that does about 2000 km per year...

    Help with Maintenance

What rubbers refers to us all rubber seals and possibly rubber hose. The seal may have shrunk or dried up over time. Watch your oil level carefully if you drive it. As a rule of thumb you change the clutch slave when you change the master. Check your lines for cracks too as you may have a dried...

    Project 88 MKIII - A Calgary build

no.. I got mine through George at Raptor (Supramania vendor). Cost a lot more, but well worth it imo. I looked at those, but decided just to get Raptor Racings DP with a 3" catback HKS exhaust with twin pipe muffler. I dont trust those DP's (from looking at them) after seeing the elbow I got...

Stupid Question time - Driving from Canada to US

I have never seen more eagles than when I went to Prince Rupert (just below Alaska) to camp with the family. Excellent area to camp/fish, etc.. but make sure you are aware of the wildlife/fishing regulations.. the Fish and Game boys carry glocks for a reason...

    Project 88 MKIII - A Calgary build

The Turbo looks good. I cant say if its worth it or not really, have to wait and see. Will probably have the car out just after Halloween, but its a summer car (with nice 10" summer wheels on back.. lol) so hoping that it comes out on a "dry" day in Calgary. If Deerfoot is dry, expect me to be...

    rafamk3supra90 MK3 HELP PLEASE

I AM NOT A MECHANIC.. just giving you my thoughts... Sounds like your turbo is shot. Buying a new 7MGTE? No such thing. You can build one, buy a JDM one and freshen it up. I think that your bearings are shot in your turbo and the turbine is hitting the housing (making the whine). It is probably...

88 supra build 400 horsepower build on stock internals

I'll update you on results from my car (because I just did most of what your talking about (although, I am not touching the engine itself). From all my reading and experience with 7M's (never owned a 1j or 2j) your going to want to do the head right (pistons wont factor in until you go silly and...

How many pounds of boost can you run on a (mostly) stock 7M-GTE SAFELY?

This is all very good info. Reading the difficulty (which makes a lot of sense) on the exhaust side was a good brain starter as well. I knew there was issues when your engine overheated but never thought about how touchy it was going to be. A strong 7M is basically dependant on 2 things, the...

How many pounds of boost can you run on a (mostly) stock 7M-GTE SAFELY?

how about without ARP Head studs (or bolts) and not a fully rebuilt (ported) head? My worry is that the stock headbolts will stretch if overboosted over time.
