Well update. Thecar IS leaking from that inspection plate. And it is definitely gear oil.
I filled up the transmission via the fill hole on the side of it with GL-5 specified gear oil. And i need to get fluid for my clutch master cylinder.
So I was fiddling with this and I definitely fixed mine! It's a night and day difference. Even when I picked my brother up he mentioned my car felt better/faster/sounded better and he's not even into cars!
Yeah it smells like gear oil. And i need more tranny fluid.
ALTHOUGH, I was just thinking. The car was faced nose towards the back of the garage and then i moved it so it was facing out of the garage. Then I noticed the little puddle of oil that was just outside of the garage. I don't know what...
K, so i took the four bolts out of the inspection cover... won't come down. Do I pry and pull at it or is there something i missed?
Also the bolt closest to the slave cylinder is covered with fluid...
And I forgot to mention all this fluid does not smell like motor oil. Its def. tranny related.
Man, I bet thats what it is...
Off to go check the trans fluid level...
EDIT numero uno : Would the car need to be on for that gasket to be leaking? I sat in the car and pumped the clutch for about a minute and nothing is leaking EDIT#2: I guess it would need to be on. I'm gonna go take off...
