Here you can see how the metal bracket is different, and how the door panel is cut. You could probably cut and fit a 91/92 speaker cover, but the lower parts will not be secured. If anyone wants to try it, I have a spare 91/92 shadow gray speaker cover for sale.
Toyota took 89/90 door panels and they actually cut out the door panel, and affixed (and this is the hard part to replace), new metal brackets to hold the speaker grilles on.
While handles and switch bezels were changed, you can swap them over with no problem...
Maybe you can use the silicone on your molding that Toyota uses these days for Corolla body kits, Tacoma flares, etc.
I'm not sure if it comes pre molded or as a strip, but it's something you may want to look into.
Yup, I removed the amber piece, cut the seperation slits between the signals and reverse lights, and used an amber bulb, so the entire area lights up when signaling and reversing.
nope, brake light failure box is only for the 3rd brake light (CHMSL), so if you don't change the spoiler you're good to go. You do need the 89+ bulb holders, but that should come with the taillights themselves
I didn't see that coming, but to be honest they're okay cars..
you keep saying N/A, are you talking about the 2nd gen eclipse? The 3rd gen is the convertible one from 2 fast 2 furious..
My brother in law has a GS-t Spyder, and it's a quick little car, and the Lexus foglight capsules I sell...
Here we go. Excuse the sleepy eyes I was working on wiring under the headlight (hands are skinny enough to fit without removing much)
It isn't the prettiest but I don't have to block my fogs, oil cooler (since relocated), IC or radiator.
W58 is just fine, I'm BPU and I couldn't be happier...
you'll need a 7MGE flywheel and upgraded pressure plate and clutch set-up, nothing R154 will bolt-on except maybe the master cylinder.
I have one of these..

I paid alot less though, maybe like $7..
the paint fades after a few months, so hit it up with some black or...
I have a couple of rare things here and there, like JDM clear bubble markers, Signal Covers, Regulus style vented header panel, narrowbody JDM taillights, little things like that sprinkled here and there between my 3 Supras.
Replace the header panel metal support off the 89+, and everything is bolt-on...
Or you can keep the pre 89 header panel, cut the grilles, and run pre-89 euros and look baller like me..:D
When my step-daughter was 11 she used to parallel park my wife's (then girlfriend) Corolla coupe. I tried to have her move my 89 a few months ago and she stalled because of the clutch. Moved it back and forth a few times though so she should get the hang of it when I get her a miata next year..
no, boost differences is the fact that the auto tranny zaps up some of the power. I'm on an auto ECU and harness with my 7MGTE swap (was 5 speed before the swap), and I hit fuel cut at 12 psi with no boost controllers..
For me it's these
1. LED interior and exterior lighting with signal rewire
2. Yellow fogs with rewire
3. Sunshade
4. Fix any targa leaks
5. 6.5" speakers upfront
