I have not cranked my engine yet but i like the idea that ross has longer skirts and i think that will make for a better fit in the cylinder than the short skirt JEs. Ross's are very top quality. I dontthink that they need as much clearance as ross suggests tho of about 6 thousands.
I have some 92 wheels from a junk yard but the center caps are tan and not the aluminum color of the wheel. What kind of paint and what color matches the stock 92 5 point wheel?
If there are any heat spots on the flywheel it must be machined or you are wasting time.
Also Bigaaron is correct sometimes you need to adjust to make sure it is engaging correctly. Some people it doesnot disengage correctly and others not enough.
Removing the sides is not that difficult to do or to replace. You do have to remove the side output shaft with a slide hammer. I could not get one up in there so i removed the whole diff. Sure does make it easy to install a new fuel filter with the diff out.

The 6m crank is 5 lbs lighter from not haveing any counter balance weights on the #2 and #5 journals. I would think toyota put balance weights on those journals to help completely balance the crank. I would think that those extra two balance weights absorb vibrations.

If it is black junk in there i had the best results with mildew remover. It will break up the balck goo wihich i believe is mildew. Is the passenger side giving you the most amount of junk. I think the top right bolt hole does not go out enough to meet the light. This is the one at the top...
I will try to post pics of the 6m and 7m crank. Notice on the 7m that the no 2 and no 5 journals have small balancers on them. I would think a smoother running engine is better than a lighter shaft. I also had my rotating assembly balanced and they did remove some little weight from my crank...
Just a question:
If you put in 1.5mm larger valves and do not put in larger valve seats wouldn't that create a restriction that would damper the effect you are wanting to create with the larger valve.
What good is a larger valve if it is not opening up a larger seat and larger...

This equalization stuff is confusing me a little as to what benefits it would create for a turbo car. What difference does it make if the exhaust and intake manifold preasures are? I would think that buring gasses in the exhaust manifold would have very high preasures.
