So there is actually an end to this thread.
I have been looking at the aem but i am afraid of its complexity. When the pro gets timing control i see no need for any other device.
I would also like to have the quote for the whole package with all the sensors. Doc please email me one to...
I guess these things happen. I just hope mine will last.
Did you prep the head surface and the deck on this last gasket. Both sides must be very smooth since the iron block and aluminum head will expand at different rates and stress the head gasket.
That rebuild lists looks appetising. I...
With my findenza and HPF bronze spung 6 puck you had better rev over 1500 rpm or so to start from a dead stop. It is a quick start and you will bark the tires some but less rpm and it will chatter.
Reverse is a noisy attention getter. I try to park uphill if i will need to back up or just...
Yes you can port the head yourself. I bought the standard abrasives kit and read their website article several times. The main thing to remember in porting is that a tube (ie port) will flow faster if the exit is slightly smaller than the entrance. This will keep up velocity. So for the...
looks great justin.
I had my stockers resized and destressed them myself and had them shotpeened and installed arp's. I think that cost about $100 to $130 or so.
How much were these? I would have liked to have some like this just for peace of mind.
Dumass kids in parking lots spinning out and making alot of useless noise deserve to be ticketed and call a lot of unwanted negative attention to our hobby/fun. Dont race on the streets and dont get ticketed i can live with.
When the police or government expand their power or authority to...
Just another reason to add to the list for not moving to California.
Dont use reasonable cause to investigate the loiterers on the street corner for sellling crack but do pull over the car which is not speeding or breaking the law because it has a gauge pillar pod.
This is a reaction to...
Yea i would like to know where we can take our cars too. I think the closest one may be in birmingham or lightning motorsports in baton rouge.
I got my o2 problem solved. My original ecu doesnt recognize the 02 sensor anymore. I traded in a local spare and the code went away which makes me...
Nice car. Nice model. Looks good together.
A flash would have helped that pic. It was a little dark on my computer so i adjusted the brightness and contrast to see her better.
Hope you dont mind.
just 500 miles
It sure does want to go tho. I havent boosted it yet. I think i will drive atleast 1000 miles on it and i need to do some compression checks on it too.
I guess your rod knock was a false alarm.
Not to answer for Bishop but those look like the front end links he built.
The rear end links are plastic i believe because if they were metal the metal tabs on the lower bar would bend and snap off causing you to buy a higher priced part to replace instead of the cheaper plastic end links...
Thanks bishop.
i will try that but it think i may have already. The 89+ does have a code for broken/absent O2 heaters. I am afraid when i do this it will throw a code. I have also tried to similate the stock heater by using (3) 1 ohm resitors to get to the 3 ohm of resistance the stock...
the spark plug pack on top of the engine is grounded to the intake on the right side.
For the ignitor when it is on the little stand it also needs good connections to it and the stand needs good connections to the chasis. The bolts involved is what grounds the ignitor to the vehicle.
I have searched and checked to try to diagnose this problem.
I have a 90T which is throwing a code 21. On the 89+ ecus if the o2 heater does not work it will throw a code 21 as well so if the sensor itself is bad. I bought the MDC o2 sensor and spliced it into the original oem o2 sensor...
I bet you could hook chains into the motor mount locations and pull the car up into the air just by the mounts. I dont think you could strip the mounts out of the car subframe. But the aluminum mounts on the engine would give first i would think.
The only reason toyota put the oem liquid...
