    Shock questions. (Durability/compatibility questions)

I don't have any information on any of the dampers on the list except for the Bilsteins. And a lot of the lowering spring true rates are unknown. I know they have a range, but it does not tell you how the spring really behaves. Meaning a lowering spring rates at from 300-600lb/in could...

what is the best full coilover kit for the mk3?

I don't think there are any TEMS compatible coilovers. So your only option for TEMS would be Illuminas. And if you don't care about TEMS, I think there are a lot better options than JIC or HKS. I design and sell different setups using Bilstein or Koni dampers because I have not been able...

    jic magic coilovers?????

I don't have any experience with them on Supras, but from what I've heard and seen the valving is similar to most of the other Japanese/asian stuff. So it's really not that great. So a rough ride and adjustability that doesn't really do anything just like everything else. So if that's what...

    koni vs. bilstein....

If TEMS compatibility is important to you, then you really only have one choice. But if it's not, then I would pick Koni or Bilstein over Tokico. The Bilsteins will probably ride better than the Konis, but the Konis should be able to handle higher spring rates properly. The Bilsteins can also...

    Megan Adjustability

If you swap in a longer spring, it's not going to do anything. Moving the spring perch down and putting a longer spring in will make the car sit the same as it was before. Do any of you guys have pictures of how low you're trying to get your car? And do you have the damper bottomed out in...

    opinions on kyb gr-2's

Considering that there are much better options out there even if you're just looking for stock replacement dampers, I would pick something else over these. Bilstein or Koni would definitely be my choice over any KYB dampers. Tim

So does that mean you get to drink all the extra booze? If so, sign me up.

    wow look at this page

Yeah, but she was never really that hot. She looks good and carries her weight well even though she's a bit heavier than a lot of the other ones out there. So you weren't embarrassed to be seen with her or have people know that you were together, but you were never really trying to show her...

    wow look at this page

It's not that the car doesn't look good stock, it just looks so boring. It needs something more. Stock bumpers with stock wheels was never cool. It just seems like this car got totally skipped in terms of any company who makes decent looking kits. And the parts that look good on it...

    wow look at this page

Why can't their be any sweet looking body kits for this car? They all look horrible. Either totally horrible or too boring to be worth spending more than $2 on.

Who Sells Whiteline SW Bars in the US?

Raptor Racing was selling them. They're in Canada, but it's not that big of a deal.

Houston Supra owners being called out by Houston240sx?

I don't know where you guys are getting your impressions of S-chassis cars. It must be the wrong place because there are a lot of serious ones out there. And Texas has a couple serious cars. But all the ones I know, don't care about drag racing or who's faster in a straight line, most of them...

Bilstein Adjustable Height Shocks...how much do they adjust?

Wat? They aren't struts, they're shocks. They are height adjustable by adjusting the c-clip position on the damper body. They are not threaded. You can add threaded sleeves to make them more adjustable, but you have to run a 2.5" ID coil spring. I forget what the part numbers are off...

RX7 Turbo II Brakes, Any Suggestions?

Stock brakes don't work well. They're too small, rotor thickness mainly. And the calipers are ugly, but that's just extra motivation to move up to something that has a bigger thickness. They just don't handle heat well. They'll fade on the track real quick.

RX7 Turbo II Brakes, Any Suggestions?

There's no point. The rotors are thin, same thickness as the stock rotors. The diameter isn't much different either. The only benefit is that they're 4 piston and there is a better selection of pads. So it's really not worth it at all. If you're going to make a bracket, then I...

    Anyone need stance coilovers??

I believe that's what a lot of people are going to do if they put these on...even if they aren't trying to. Well except for the people who run stupid staggers, like 225s in the front and 295s in the back or something ridiculous like that. They might be balanced alright for something like that.

    Sawblade wheel Nuts Torque Value?

I was just about to say that. And trying to get free stuff because they overtightened the lug nuts a little? Really???

    Anyone need stance coilovers??

12/10 doesn't sound very good for Mk3s. It's pretty soft for coilovers and the rear rates are too high relative to the front or front too soft compared to rear, depending on which way you want to go with it. Just seems way off from where it should be. Unless the 2 was supposed to be a...

    shock valving

I do. But I've been busy. So what part of it are you trying to learn more about? The vibrations part or the fluid dynamics part? There are books out there that talk about. There aren't any really good books on dampers though. There's the Shock Absorber Handbook by John Dixon, I...

    Jerft!

Drifting an Mk3 is easy with a good diff, good suspension and more steering angle. Get those spacers in, it will make the car a lot more awesome. And I can't believe you ent out in public with those wheels in the last pic. And Grimsta, who doesn't like to drift other people's cars...
