Go to the EFI section for either 87 or 90 depending if 87/88 or 89+
Check for corrosion and clean all battery terminals and connections. Get a volt meter and measure voltage with the car running starting at the battery and alternator, look for any drop off of voltage
Put the motor at tdc and check the cps, I bet it's off a tooth.. Don't worry about the cams for now
http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?38775-How-To-basic-timing-instructions-CPS-alignment
How are you putting in the cps that is usually the problem...
If the cps is lined up right next step is for you to verify the number 1 cylinder is indeed at tdc when the crank pully is positioned to zero and both cams lined up with the notch. Can be done by pulling no.1 spark plug and using a...
Drop the subframe and inspect. Not too hard, I just did it.
First remove exhaust and disconnect 4 14mm driveshaft bolts from differential.
Disconnect 2 10mm bolts on e-brake cables and disconnect
Than pull out rear struts/springs, loosen brake caliper bolt and support caliper leaving brake...
Air to fuel ratio
14.7:1
14.7 parts air to 1 part fuel
10:1 has less air per part of fuel and therefor more fuel aka richer
15:1 has more air per part of fuel and therefor less fuel aka leaner
So the lower the first number = Rich (more fuel) 10.0:1
The higher the first number = Lean (less fuel)...
Ok pull the cps and look at the gear, spin it and align the two holes show with the red arrows. Ignore everything else in the first pic
When you do that now look at the inside. The top two red arrows in the picture below should be close to lined up. Now when you slide the cps in the engine it...
I would try to limit the amount of things wired into the ecu to as few as possible. Unless it specifically says to wire into the ecu go elsewhere. That being said if you don't understand how a simple relay works then the best thing to do is tap into the heavy gauge ignition wires and fuse it as...
You need to figure out the amp draw of what you are running the power to. I would wire the map ecu to the ecu like it says and wire the wideband up from the heavy gauge ignition wires
