I have the same issue, I thought it was the turbo so I replaced it with the rebuilt one, MHG and all. Blueish smoke still.....Compression was 155 across the board. My best guess, is the rings..... Just need to drive it for one more summer before 2jz goes in!!! :)
I have a HKS bead on mine and its held up just fine so far. I have done couple 140 pulls and knock on wood it held just fine. I would recommend Stoppers since you track it.

Yes Stock pressure plate will work and is okay with Action 6 puck disk. But honestly, if i were you, get a better pressure plate than stock. I had my stock pressure plate fail on me twice. I purchased ACT stage 3 or 4 Clutch kit for my supra and never looked back. That's just my 2 cent on...

Yes, the EFI fuse was blown, sorry i didn't mention it.
Alright, I think it's my lucky day today!! A Member on here was close to my town and had an ECU with him. I met up with him and switched the ECU. No more Engine Codes!! went for a drive and everything and checked for codes. no codes!!

Last week, i was putting my car back together i forgot to hang the O2 wires of the PVC line so it sat on the exhaust housing of the turbo and burnt. The car stalled out after the drive and won't start back up so my buddy helped me ghetto wire it and i got it home somehow while bogging out and...
i got a stage 3 clutch on mine 6 puck , got over 1200 miles.... and no where near drives like stock.. It's got harsh engagement but you ll get use to it.

So i took out my short cable and picked up a new cable from Curt at Elmhurst. End result, My Speedometer works again!!!
