I have the Stance "super angle kit" or something. It's basically steering rack spacers but larger, and with bumpsteer correction outer tie rods.
This toolbox is impressive. It always seems close to falling apart with the 40 lbs of stuff inside but somehow those two tiny latches and two tiny...
Test fit 295/35/r17 Kumho XS all around. If you're wondering, they do fit. Barely rubbed the front lower a-arm at full lock, but I have extra steering angle modifications and just put the steering stoppers back in to avoid contact.
In other news, injector #4 is stuck open. So gay...
I used a kit from Weir Performance with a stronger spring and shims to bring the clearance down between the pinion gears inside. It's very aggressive though, doesn't really unlock ever haha. Almost a welded =\ If you have the cash I'd spring for a Cusco/Kaaz/etc
The 6262 will build boost pretty much on demand. I'm very happy with it!
I have Stance coilovers, and machined solid subframe bushings for the rear subframe. I also have Battle Version control arms in the rear.
For drifting, I'd invest in a differential that actually locks over anything else...
I started with a stock 2J map and have been tuning it for the past couple days. It's quite nice and smooth now, with decent AFRs. I'm afraid to mess with timing myself though, I'll leave that to National Speed.
The whole P/S system and PCV system hasn't been made yet. I'm running a temporary...
Runs and drives again! It's so much better, and it isn't even professionally tuned yet. I have an appointment for the 31st at National Speed (can't wait!).
Also, new wheels come in today :)
Out with the old:
Some spider shat muticolored shit all over our couch:
So I got some connectors and made a ton of diagrams:
And many hours later...
Fresh everything. Goodbye 22 year old wiring.
I want 400-450, with great response. Supposedly the journal bearing 6262 is comparable to a BB 35r in response but has a little more top end, so I decided to try one out since they're not toooo expensive.
I have a stock GE engine with a TT head gasket, so whatever that compression ratio is haha.
I ended up giving in and buying the AEM plug & pin kit that comes with plugs and terminals for specific ECUs. You can get the plugs from certain civics/integras but the local junkyard was dumb and wanted $5 a plug, and pins are ~.38 cents each and usually require a bulk order, so the AEM kit was...
Pretty much, it's an AEM 1050 from an OBD II Honda. It's the easiest of the Honda AEMs to adapt to other applications, and can be found used for pretty cheap
I just put an OEM TT head gasket on it
HX35s come in many different exhaust housings, that'll affect spool the most. The return is just a 45 deg fitting straight off the turbo then down to the pan. No kit really fits the HX series cause they're weird turbos.
I bought a 6262 with a T4 .68 exhaust housing. I'm already regretting getting the .68, cause I made the decision to go standalone/more fuel like 2 weeks after I ordered the turbo haha!
A poor cell phone image of the rear subframe bushings I lathed
A poor cell phone image of standalone...
