Really?
What all is left in the shell? I am really looking for one with a blown engine or that has been rear end wrecked so the engine bay is pretty much intact as stock. Pretty much all my parts are in the engine bay obviously so as close to stock as possible makes the mock-ups work for...
Hey guys whats up!
I am looking for a wrecked MKIII turbo to use for a mock up car for parts I make. It just has to roll good enough to get it in the a trailer and thats about it. Engine bay needs to be pretty complete as that is where most the parts are. So if anyone has access to one...
Looks good man,
Might want to taper the rear angle of the manifold a bit to stop the air swirling off the blunt end. Mine have roughly 60 degree angles. Also watch the hood clearance! I have run all different styles on my own setup and my hood has been dented before from one! So really...
Hello,
Looking for Bomex body parts to make molds and replicate the pieces in carbon. Mainly looking for the side skirts, rear bumber add-ons, and a whale tail to use for mold making. I will pay for shipping both ways. The parts will be returned in the same condition they are sent. Prefer...
There is a big post with dyno numbers and a full write up either on here or SF (I think in the MKIV section of SF) comparing the veilside with raised stacks versus another without. As mentioned before in this post raised was comparable at low end but they could actually hear the whistling...
Right now the plan is to be running the season but it is pretty dependant on sponsors for our team. I am currently the factory driver so I will be doing all the testing and we will be doing the VIR race for sure as it is the closest race for us! I will run it by my boss about the crew...
Hey guys,
Gezz more and more people! Yes I do drive the DP car. It is called Chase Competition Engineering. We are def a small team. I just joined them and can't wait till Daytona! The shop is very low key and not many people know about it but they are a great group of guys! Can't wait...
Damn well I am glad there are a bunch of peeps here. As you saw by an earlier post there are only a few people in my old area. The supra is not in VA yet but will be over christmas when it is finished up! Yea that is my engine bay in the avatar. Well we will definetly have to have a meet...
Hey,
So I just moved here, working in a Daytona Prototype Racing shop! Just wanted to see how the Supra community was here. Back home it was almost nothing!. I don't have my Supra back here yet but it will be after Christmas and then I can take advantage of some of the bad ass stuff the...
I made my entire megasquirt harness. Totally new engine bay harness. Such a pain in the ass and so time consuming to make it clean! But worth it in the end. Like Duane said there are professionals who do it and make it worth it for sure!
Seth
Haha yea thats what happens when you just have 10" piece of DP on there and nothing else! lol It was just to fire it up the first time I just couldn't wait!
Seth
Here are a few updates!
Nearly finished exhaust, sorry for the night pics will get some better in the day light:
DP:
Back half!:
New Alt Bracket, simplicity I guess is the key? We will see if it works but I don't see when it shouldn't!:
And the main projects right now:
Thanks for...
That was me,
I made several of them. To tell you the truth I have made some crazy designs over the years and that is still amazing simple to setup for. Lower Alt, extended a few things, FMIC(which everyone should upgrade anyways!), New IC pipes(everyone should upgrade and go bigger...
Nosechunks you have a PM,
I offer an option that might interest you! Take a look at it, it is half the cost of one of my customs and I did 440rwhp at 18psi not problem and it flows roughly 5% better across the board(this is the only design I did that I got flow tested!) But it is def the...
Well got it up and idling smoothly. Idles right at 800ish with a A/F of 14.3! Been working on the accel modes to make it have good response but still have a few things to do before I can drive it. Just a few loose ends!! But will have new video up as soon as it is driving.
Also still...
One thing to watch if you are going to do that is when you cut the upper plenum to short down, it is basically impossible to weld it from the outside. As well you will lose the 1/2" of the flange added on. As you can see from the angled up big plenum one there are pieces of tube welded in...
Hey Buckshot,
IJ is obviously very on top of it. I built my first fully custom manifold which has not been tested yet but it has internal velocity stacks and I know that one of the professionally made ones does as well. I know it flowed better on bottom end but had a lot of disruption under...
