I'm not trying to compensate for shit... it's called the pursuit of happiness. Like I said, follow your instincts, it's that simple. A lot of people are incapable of doing this as society will try and pull your attention to science and logic, making people forget who/what they are. And more...
for sure... not saying anyone who drives like this isn't asking to get killed... shit you guys are ignorant as hell thinking driving period is even remotely safe. I hope all of you guys with negative attitudes get pulled from twisted wrecks too. That sounds really friendly, right? Grow up...
my gut is telling me it's the diff. it only does it in gear, clutch engaged, powering into a turn. noises and response are random, binding as well.... pretty nasty sounds, clunking, grinding, you name it.
I literally just got the car... WTH man
here we go with the JJ assumptions again... I see you didn't learn your lesson from the last time we conversed. :nono:
well I did get a new 190 degree thermostat, and the car heats up in about 4-5 min.... whoever had the car before me totally fucked...
well.... I guess I'll find out at the end of the week. So no one has had any issues like this having a rear suspension bushing/mount go out? I swear I'd read something about that before...
@ supraholics, holy cow man... I'll be honest. I could never go auto... unless I had immediate plans to get rid of it (the auto trans)... but, that mkiv does look nice :)
I havn't really heard anything good about those... (350z trans) only bad :nono:
I know some of you guys drive like total nut jobs ;) but refrain from ever saying word 1 about it, because the rest of the community either just doesn't get it, has no testes, or looks down on this type of driving. :biglaugh:
here are some prime examples. (I'm sure a lot of you have seen...
looks like I was right ;)
yeah... I know I said I would wait for the sun to come up, but I checked the weather, and it wasn't going to get any warmer. So, I said fuck it, why wait?
so now, I'm sure I have a bunch of rubber shit stuck in my rad. wth are you supposed to do about that?
On a fairly new corolla... just curious what you guys think these things should be changed at... Obviously if you grind gears all day, the gearbox oil should probably be changed quite often. But how about coolant?
The dealer obviously says these should be "inspected" @ 60,000 miles, meaning...
~30 f
I drove about 15 min. and my temp gauge was starting to move up to half-way (I mean 1/4) half way to being warm
I drove 10 min back (after watching a movie at my friend's house) and it wouldn't move over 1/5 of it's full range (cold to overheating)
I pulled over on the first drive...
you can't really save too much from gutting... most of your weight is in the seats (not rear, those weigh next to nothing), sound deadening, spare. the rest is reinforcement for safety reasons.... sure you can get rid of a lot of it, but I wouldn't go that route if you plan on driving it on...
engine stayed cold for waaaay too long, so long in fact it never got up to operating temp.
test#1 heater blowing hot air? not really
test#2 do I have coolant? yes
test#3 loose coolant temp sender connection? no
test#4 TBD I'll check and see if the car has a damn thermostat...
I'm with mo on this one... safety is not something to take lightly, and you can't really put a price on it either.... whatever you do, don't get any cheaply manufactured seats/brackets. if you even have any suspicions they may be cheap, forget about it, it's not worth it.
personally...
good tips guys!! :) definitely sounds doable... I like the idea of the plastic scraper... only thing is... do you guys know if the trim has any sort of finish on it? or does it look the same if you were to cut it in half (of course it wouldn't look the same, but you get where I'm going)...
