the starter is a pair of 14mm bolts and nuts, the upper bolt near impossible due to its access...
For the starter, it need to be fully removed, both bolts and unit.
You have the r154, right?
The snap ring on the clutch release bearing must be removed.
First properly support the transmission and reinstall a couple bell housing bolts because you will be squirming around trying to do this...
To anyone that doesn't already know, R compound tires don't talk as loudly as normal compound tires.
Making R compounds squeal means your on a thinner envelope between having control and going into a slide since they don't change tone as noticeably, if at all before releasing grip.

I've got crappy fast fading pads that need the assistance of engine braking if i'm going from illegal velocity to dead-stop ASAP. A serious downshift will buy me a couple lengths off the total stop distance, these cars can STOP.

the shims' job is to correct valve lash from the cam lobe to the lifter bucket, they will not have an affect on spring pressure to keep the valves seated.
Usually piston rings develop blow-by before valves start leaking. Try a bit of oil in the low cylinder to help the rings seal up, that should...

Update the software to at least 4.68, that version cleared up the sputtering for me.
You'll have to fiddle with the settings again as there are additional features.

Instead of installing different pads i just turned the rotors as the machine shops likes me and only wanted $20 for the rears.
