My dilemma, or so I'll call it: I'm doing a 7mgte swap into my 82 Supra, and I'm looking into purchasing a sub harness for the swap as opposed to doing the wiring myself (I think it's cheap enough not to deal with the headaches involved). I got all my parts from a donor 88 turbo 5sp car but...

I'm ordering a swap harness from 935motorsports.... $150, totally worth it IMHO... Road flare not included. :(

the rod cap is deft MIA... I assume it was in the pan. Took a nice chunk out of the bottom of the cylinder as well, so it's junk now... But, nmp.

scrapping the shell in one week, if it's not claimed by then she's getting pwnt... Should have pics up tonight... I'm bringin the 82 to the dirty norfside tonight too... So I just MIGHT get the piece going in time... Woot... Not getting my hopes up though.. ;)

^I'd suggest talking to the doc first... ESP if walking/jogging would be something new, the last thing her body needs is a new source of stress. But deff a good idea to stay active.

Be watching for a build thread... Picked up the donor... Is anyone interested in a super clean 88 shell.. And I can't stress SHELL enough... Not even wires are left... No rust though, that I've seen

I'm in Indy, maybe we're neighbors! I've done 3 NA-Turbo swaps, super easy if you have a Turbo donor car to steal everything from. It's just like swapping an engine out that way... no wiring problems or anything to run into... PM me with any questions you may have and I'll gladly help...

Sure you can use the 5m trans... its not as durable but shifts smoother, and will hold stock power levels without much of a problem. (guys put 2js against them) All you need to do is use the w58 (5mge trans), the 5m flywheel, and 5m clutch and PP to get it all to mount up onto a 7mgte...
