By the time you have bought a maft pro, and an msd ignition with all the adaptors, you already spent enough money to get a standalone ecu that already has a 2 step built in. You would also have a lot less complicated setup with about 1/4 of the wiring and connections. Just food for thought....

Did you check the battery wire going to the starter and the engine ground? If those are good and you jumper the starter solenoid to the battery and it just clicks or spins, then you have a bad starter.

I did that with my truck for about a week, it wasn't as difficult as you would think. :biglaugh:

It's usually the keyswitch, I just gave someone a replacement keyswitch a few days ago who had the same problem you have. Put a volt meter or test light on the starter solenoid wire when you try to crank it, if the voltage drops very low < 10 volts, it's probably the key switch. That is assuming...
