How his his question any different from someone with 2,000 plus post that can't make a car run. Or set timing. Or blows 15 headgaskets. Or can't remove a starter. I think that sometimes it is not easy to use search fucntion. Yes i am probably stupid. How about you fourm masters give him...
I say 202 like 1991 and 1992 and if interior is cloth gets seats redone in matching maroon leather. When i get my 1989 black ruby pearl painted it will be 202.
Looks like a nice car. I saw it for sale when I was looking for the last one I bought. I was always curious about the dash cover. Is it there to cover a cracked dash. Or was it put on to prevent a dash crack. Sorry you had so many engine issues. I guess it would not have made it back to...
Why not try an HKS head gasket? After making sure you have no warpage on head or block. They were one of the first MLS gaskets. I would only use a HKS gasket. I think 80 to 85 lbs torque is the best. Just my two cents. Good luck.
If i had the money i would love to have that car. It would be nice to have an original unhacked on car. The interior looks like 92 not 91. It will be the last few nice cars that will maintain the MKIII values. I feel the right cars are worth 12k or so. They stickered for 30k or a little...
I think Indy is a good location. Cross roads of America. I will go. Good looking sc300 STiCk3. My uncle will probaly come out to play with his two MKIII's.
I like OEM stuff. I bet they won't last 20 years. Why waste a bunch on time and monkey around with inferior stuff. You should go Factory mounts. Once you start where do you stop cutting corners. Some people say HK$. I say OEM quality like nippon denso. I wish you luck with your project...
180 degress out. Ever heard of TDC compression on # 1 cylinder. Take #1 plug out and turn engine over till air comes out the spark plug hole. If not then you can be 180 degrees out. Runs but not right. Some very basic things can indicate correct timing. Like engine vacuum readings. Maybe...
It looks like everyone is saying the same thing. If you have very little money just replace the struts with some brand mew ones. Yes the car will not be lowered. But you can safey drive the car. Oh how did the stock supra handle. Well in the day the magazines compared the MKIII to cars like...
Sell your car and buy a nice unmolested car. Trying to fix a car that has been hacked on by numerous owners that don't know what they are doing will beat you up and drain your wallet. Cheaper in the long run. Good paint job 4K interior 1k bad trim 1k engine harness 5 to 800. Engine rebuild...
I bet the No "ne" is caused by the timing belt crank gear or key way messed up. I bet the timing belt is not turning. Should have heard a knocking noise while running if crank bole was loose. Need to remove and inspect.
If you want them you had better get them while you can. MKIII part #'s are running out all the time. The good thing is that they will look good for another 20 years.
