Would it be bad to have a car tuned in the winter? Cause of air density etc. I just got my car running good, idleing good, vac leak free (Tested it w/ a air compressor) etc. About to get it tuned here soon and was seeing if the air density/temp would make a difference.
Wait, if i don't plug it off at the end of my IC piping (Before the TB) then wont the air just run straight out the car due to cams overlaping @ certain times? Theres no time when all valves are closed so.
I always heard do the leak test with what psi you run... Anyone else confirm this? And cap the PCV port between the TB and the 2 lines going into the valve cover, so i don't pressure the head?
Im going to be doing a boost leak test on my car soon using the air compressor style DIY ones... What should i block off etc when i do this? Take off the accordian hose, stick the boost leak tester on the turbo inlet, run 14-15psi (what i run daily) and go from there. Just asking though, are...
My friends got 2 stock ones laying around, and his aftermarket one (TurboXS Bypass Valve #25) and tomorrow im gonna cruise out there and see whats going on. Try them out, hope one of them works.
This is my plan since im low on funds, that is if i cant find anything locally (Aftermarket). Found...
Ouch. Luckily i got hardpipes so i dont have to worry about that. Blowing through the bov is probably not good, going to replace that and go from there...
When you say blow through it, you mean the big hose part right? Not the vacume nip part. Cause if so, LOL! I blew through it like it was nothing at all.... Well... time for a bov!
So i just recently installed my 550cc injectors and the lexus afm, already have a walboro 255, no AFPR. Anyways, i turned the boost up to 15 it was all good yadadada, driving home on the freeway i got on it... 10 psi. Wtf? Got off the freeway, went at it from a light, 10 psi... ?? I AM ON STOCK...
My guess would be to call or email big aaron and point him in the direction of this thread so he can let you know, and if not he can fix/replace the wrong parts.
Why are there two toyota badges? I mean you got the regular red supra emblem, but you also got a toyota badge on the front bumper... confused?
None the less looks great. Wish my car looked HALF as good as this man.
Does anybody know where i can get new sway bar mounts? Mine have rusted through the center and the sway bar no longer stays in the mounts. Had to take it off cause it was hittin stuff. I need the little U shaped mount that actually bolts the sway bar to the underbody of the car...
^^
Damn! My cooleze pipe fits just fine, no trimming of couplers etc. Also, doesnt your cooleze pipe have a ring welded around it to make sure the couplers dont slip off? Least mine does. But if you look up above in my other pics, mine fit just perfect. Had to get new hoses though cause the old...
Just like he said, looks exactly like the Cooleze pipe. Heres a pic of my cooleze intake pipe back when i was on stock IC. No gain's i don't think, just looks neat and cleans it up some.
Theres other pics in my albulm, but i don't think you can see it.
Doesn't fuel cut happen when it determines how much air coming past the AFM? Because when i hit fuelcut most the time my cars still pig rich in the 10's.
One of my friends runs 20+ PSI on race gas and 15 on pump gas on his 6-1 trim CT-26 and hes had it on his car over 5 years. I thought it was a crazy bad idea too till he told me its been on there for 5 years and there was still almost no shaft play. I was AMAZED.
Fuel cut is SO GAY. Temp and...
Sounds like a stand alone could do you wonders, but then again you can always go MAFT-Pro, or use a MAPECU, Theres SAFC's (I use a NEO), theres all the oldschool HKS stuff. Too many piggybacks to say 1 is the best.
