lol a racing tranny on a stock car?i have a 04 civic si (the hatchback k20a3 160 hp car), and it cant even hit 14.5( i think) with intake,race header and exhaust.

um, u dont need to gap iridium plugs. iridium is already pre-gap to what you need. theres a thread somewhere here tho to help you find the one you need

if your tight on money, find a used motor and swap it in. I think that will be the cheapest way possible. so far i spend almost 700 bucks on parts, and the engine is still in pieces lol. someone building a motor for you wont be cheap. if anything, change the hg kit,arp hsk, and swap that...

i got quoted +/- 80 bucks to get the head resurfaced. And its a big job to change a hg, and i heard maybe 500 to do it. But im not to sure on the price i gave you. Also it would be a good idea to get arp head stud kit to torque the head down more than the stock bolts. hope i answered one...

Hey hows it guys. Ive been reading about rebuilding the 7m, and got a few questions for a regular engine rebuild. Also this is my first time rebuilding an engine. The beginning... The engine needed the HG to be replaced, so i ordered a head gasket kit, HKS 1.2mm MHG, Gates racing timing belt...

i'd say if you are willing to spend some $$$$$, then go for it. theres a thread that links to a web page where a guy tell you all the parts your going to need for the swap, and you need a shit load of parts. hope this helps :icon_surp

the kit from driftmotion is pretty good. i ordered it and tried it. make sure u practice first before you actually start drilling the holes.
