crags on pulling up this old thread. Clean supras are hard to find and a lot of replacement parts are now a bitch to get to non existent. I haven't seen many well modded cars for sale recently but a few 1jz cars that didn't sell in the 6500 range.

if i'm honest I spend more time doing these things than the "fancy" stuff. It's probably the most important stuff to do.

people do run them successfully but I've seen issues from their over sized valve cut outs where mild detonation cracks them. (way over simplifying that) If you spend a little more you can have a custom piston made for your specific application. It is more money but you also get stronger...

I'm on board with this oil thermostat idea too.
