Yeah they're discontinued... I wish the 89+ and pre 89 lips were the same, then it would be so much easier to get enough people for one of these to happen. I may be interested, but I have the pre89 bumper, and a stock lip in good shape still so it would just be a spare essentially.
Forgot to mention the HG, but I'm sure if he did any research he heard about it. The 90-92 are probably in better shape because they are the rarer years and command a higher price because of that.
Nothing going on with the Supra here much. I got my sway bars delivered awhile ago, I'll probably install them when I do the rest of the suspension. All I need now are shocks. The only thing I've done lately to the 4Runner is install my sliders! It's been too hot here to work on cars so I'm...
Welcome! The suspension differences aren't really that large. The 89+ sit half an inch lower and 91+ have thicker sway bars. I've got a set of ST sway bars and low mileage 91 springs waiting to go into my 87 someday. You will only be able to get the "Widebody" version here in the US, we never...
Sounds just like the issue I have with mine.
This is good advice. You are most likely loosing pressure somewhere. If the fuel pump is new you shouldn't be loosing pressure there assuming the check valve in it didn't go bad since it was replaced. I would look on the engine side of the fuel...
Make sure the metal plates that go underneath are straight, they are the support and if the plate is bent the lip will appear bent as well, and don't break it when you put it on haha. That's about it, it's pretty simple.
I could see it selling for ~$12k, give or take. It appears to be perfect in every way except for the nicks in the steering wheel and e brake handle. Both easily fixed by the new owner. These cars are appreciating. Check out the values for some of the later years where they have the option for...
Keep your cat, don't do a test pipe in my opinion. If you aren't planning on going Turbo then 3" is way overkill, I went with 2.25" on mine. I get a lot of compliments on how it sounds. I put a lot of research into it too though to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. Here's my thread...
This thread and George's thread makes me want to just drive and explore this country. I wish we had some of the cool stuff you guys out west have over here in the South. I really want to make it out to the pacific coast highway, but it's at least a 3 day drive to just get there from where I'm at...
Wow, that came out great. I need to repaint my bumpers too and have kinda tossed around the idea of trying it myself rather than paying a shop. Any more details on how you did it?
If I bring my bumpers down to Atlanta you want to paint them for me haha:biglaugh:?
I tried everywhere. I believe TurboTruck posted in his build thread that he bought the last one remaining.
Looks great! Now get some pictures of both of your Supras together!
Ouch, that's something you would never think would happen, until it happens to you...
This looks great, well done!
Unavailable now. Trust me... I tried to order a new one from about 10 different places a few months ago and all my orders got denied because they are discontinued.
