Faster shifts and the clutch disc itself becomes nearly unbreakable. The springs on sprung hubs sometimes get torn up on very high horsepower applications.

Unsprung hubs are very hard on transmissions. Without the sprung hub, the shock delivered on shifts to the tranny is pretty brutal. They can be driven safely with proper rev matching and techniques, but they really put a lot of strain on the whole drivetrain.

Find yourself a TSRM for your model year. It's worth its weight in gold.
