I'd go aftermarket, so far what aftermarket thats oe rated that I have on my car work very well.
but you still gotta determine what to replace, or say to hell with it and replace everything with the excuse thats its old anyways.
you got freon in it right? I know its not related to the post for the most part but it should disable it if levels are low. not sure on the voltage tho.
just bump start it to crack it loose..if you can get a socket on it then breaker bar facing drivers side point towards ground. pull efi fuse and crank for a sec. it should bust loose.
Pb blaster, breaker bar, pickle fork, and a BFH. Had mine out in 30 min. Some cars and locations vary but hit it with pb then walk away then come back and own it. Mine had 1/4 inch play when I changed mine.
I'd run stock bpv until your ready to step up your setup. Head studs and 200 miles. Been though a few heat cycles eh? Almost time to retorque maybe, got tq wrench?
So you already ruled out the most expensive part, the subframe. Cool. Using my remedy for a car pulling to either direction is after so many donuts in one direction, stop, and proceed to swing it the other way for even wear.

There's better solutions out there than r134a. But it ready avalible at any parts store and hell walmart too. The idea is to pull a deep vacuum then charge to the specified psi. For some reason I'm thinking 12oz so about 1 lbs. Now I could very well be wrong as it's 440 am and I can't sleep. But...
