Have you ever changed the master cylinder? Have a spare you can swap on?

That's odd, are you running EGR on this motor, if not, how did you delete it. I would fine it weird that you only broke one piston's rings. I also assume it was .025, not .25 and that's weird, since it is the upper limit, you still had four thou more to the .029 limit.

What were your gaps on the rings?
