I'm not even going to read all the replies but I drove mine the last two winters.
first winter I was coating down a hill and out of absolutly no where my car did two 360's across the road and jumped a curb backwards, blowing out both rear tires.
the second winter I drove it really...
1: That one is pointless to get rid of
2: What valuable functionality does it remove????
3: You can pull it out no problem, there'sa thread in the tech section ( i think ) 'bout removing it.
at the risk of going slightly to the left of the intended topic....
What is vapor lock? Is that a bad thing? I'm not planning on putting the VSV back in when I drop my engine back in. I don't mind a few more cranks to turn the engine on. Hell, I don't even crank it, my alarm does it...
The clear timing cover! I have a few sensors and stuff on the way but other than that I'm set to go! just have a few more things to assemble and hopefully the engine fires right up.
I work in a stereo installation bay, so I've got plenty of four gauge/0 gauge wire laying around. I have some bigass battery terminals... I'm going to go to town with grounding stuff :D
I'll post pics once I get done :)
eheh, nice! Maybe I saw yours and subconciously wanted the same thing! I remember seeing yours before I got mine done.
Thanks for the electrical advice! I hadn't even thought about that. The AC isn't going to be functional for a while, but I am going to install the hardware...
I...
I got the idea from turkish ( I think )
its sweet cuz it fits perfect, and it pops up when you open the ash tray and slides back down when you close it.
Perfect!
yeah that tube is a pain in the ass.
I wonder if you could just put a breather on the block?
I just bought a new one from Champion for.... (checking reciept) 21 bucks it looks like... not cheap, but the new one is all flexiable and stuff, its nice!
Rather not have it, but no choice :)
yep, just make sure its not a super-thin wire.
I cut mine and soldered it with enough lead on both ends I can solder the plug back on if I need.
i want to get rid of that relay.... its ugly :p
SO! I just got back from a drive around the city... I got rid of the resistor.
I now have NONE of the throttle problems I was having before.
What would happen is I would sit at idle and floor it. AFR would jump off the board lean and bog down terriably then catch itself.
well...
sounds like you have the tps wire hooked into the wrong wire....
mine's been working fine (sitting at 0%) although yesterday I noticed its resting at a constant 4% now...
wierd.
good luck fixin it man!
