    Project or problem?

For now the charcoal canister is staying vented, I personally would have left it alone for the time being, but the previous owner went on a spree of removing things (including most of the trunk interior). Anyhow, PCV is hooked back up, though it really wont' do much, I had the piping and threw...

    Charcoal Canister Replacement

Any toyota ones that'd be a good replacement but would also bolt onto the factory bracketing mounts on the firewall? I'm contemplating replacing mine but I'd prefer not to remount it and turn my firewall into swiss cheese in the process..

    Project or problem?

No real updates just yet, waiting to get ahold of a compression tester to see how healthy the block is. Gathering together a few hoses to put the PCV back into place today/tomorrow finally. I did notice the BVSV was capped off, worth putting it back in place or keeping the system as is?

Philly Supra Meet 2010!! Sunday May 30th

Unfortunately I just got my car right before this meet and it's still not insured yet so I haven't even been able to drive it, but I'm definitely down for a meet sometime here soon. Is there much of a PA crowd on here?

    Project or problem?

Must not have been thinking too well when I read that earlier, really hoping that's not the case, but unfortunately you're probably right and I'm in for it. I do have a spare block and internals if that is the case as well, so time will ultimately tell I guess. I'll keep you all informed on what...

    Project or problem?

Haha I'm not planning on giving up, swapping the coils and having it run and idle like it should is a big ego boost so far. I just have to make some time to sort out everything else, trust me I'm looking forward to it too much to give up now haha.

    Project or problem?

As unfortunate as it is I'd like to figure out the real reason for the blowby, I'd really prefer to have it routed back to stock anyhow, but not without doing a little bit of investigating first. The fan currently is just hardwired to the battery, so I have to remove it every time I turn the...

    Project or problem?

Well, all is well and good in the driveway, however on the road is another thing. The car runs fine, pulls and boosts like all is normal, but a few minutes in, the temp needle soared right up past H :icon_mad:

    Project or problem?

Yeah, looks like the previous owner decided to remove the PCV, the tubes just hang down the sides of the engine.. I'm thinking its probably best to put it back to the way it was

    Project or problem?

Swapped in a new set of NGK wires today, seemed to make a marginal difference but not enough. Threw on an extra set of coil packs I had and almost instantly ran fine. Still have a list of things I want to do yet, but I'm definitely thrilled so far :D Besides an oil change and coolant flush I'm...

    Project or problem?

Still have yet to drain the oil and give an answer on that, waiting for a cooler day. Besides, parts haven't come in just yet so no real motivation to do much with the car just yet. Anyhow, here are some engine bay pictures, for those wondering whats still stock and what's been unfortunately...

    Cobra Wheels on a Supra???

It seems more likely to me that different brand tires just have different compositions and weigh more/less than one another.. I'm planning on changing out a tire sometime soon here on my 87, I can get a dry weight of a stock wheel on a shipping scale if anyone's interested?

    Project or problem?

Dipstick and oil cap wise it looks like I'm in the clear.. but when I get back home this weekend I'm changing out the wires, let it warm up and then do an oil change and let you guys know what I find out.

    Project or problem?

Its a little too dark to get anything substantial currently, but I'll grab some pictures of my engine bay in the morning here. Sorry, the car is at my parents home and I'm gone during the week and too busy / forgetful during the weekends. So far I've only had time to change out the plugs which...

    Project or problem?

I think the previous owner went on a spree removing random things, the charcoal canister is also removed, I just found the vacuum line that runs back to the back of the car tucked back where the canister was removed at today.. So far the oil and coolant looks okay, but I make no claims to being...

    Project or problem?

Yeah I just noticed after posting them that they're not such great pictures, I'll grab better ones tomorrow and upload them.

    Project or problem?

I haven't driven it, just wondered how bad it was to move it from one end of my driveway to another, and as expected terrible. And last I checked the coolant it was free and clear. Any reason the BVSV would be taken out in the first place? Oil actually looked free of any coolant mixing and...

    Project or problem?

Just bought my first Supra the other day, an 87 turbo hardtop. Previous owner bought it from the original with almost 130k on it, apparently the engine was replaced in 2004 around 100k due to a bhg. The previous owner thinks its blown now and gave up on the project, which I ended up buying. His...

    New owner from PA

Got it home and got it started, sounded like it had a misfire among other things so changed the plugs out, replacing the Densos that were in it with Autolite Platinums (probably not the brightest move), sounds marginally better now but still lopes.. Probably going to make a thread to get some...
