This is the Izusu, 88 2.6 Motor, Timing Belt on my car.
They are round and fit snug on the gears. DM sells the same belt as a 1JZ belt. If it was an OEM belt for the 1JZ, it would need to come from Toyota but they are being strict on importing parts.
Get a sprung clutch kit. Unsprung disks are going to be very harsh. If you will use your car on the street, get a sprung disk, drag only, an unsprung disk would be good.
It makes sure without a doubt that the surge tank will not run out of fuel no matter the RPM, injector duty cycle or boost level you choose to run. Definitely look into it!
Great ideal. The Walbro can run at 9V all day barely doing any work a d the two Bosch will have all the fuel they need from the feed line. I assume you are running the return line through the tank as well? It's what we did on a customer's car and it works perfect.
An exhaust leak pre-turbo is never a good thing. Any leak after the turbine/downpipe is just a nuisance.
The vacuum reading could be a leak? Have you done a test to make sure there are no leaks?
You cannot use that unless the rail or bung is made for it. The 7M rail uses copper washers everywhere on all the fittings. With my fuel rails, I have the option for o-rings or copper washers.
Whats the ETA on this for the software? I definitely have a customer interested as he wants to have some way to tune 550 but an AEM is not in his budget but doesn't want to fiddle with a SAFC.
When I do my standalone unit, I am going to mount it behind the black glovebox cover if I can, if not, it will be mounted on a plate which will be in mounted to the glovebox and then locked with my key to avoid someone just going in there to throw something in there and I'd have to kill them.
This is what I tell everyone and they act like its a horrible car. I don't get why you would want something expensive and hard to work on as a daily driver.
Steve....this is for you for those recommendations!
I'd get an MKIV. Why? They are just nice cars, whether it's an NA or turbo six speed, I'd make it mine. A lot of these douches get their parents to buy their cars for them and can't cherish anything then go out and crash the car. :nono:
Local guy had a 502HP MKIII and he could not control...
Remember now, I wrote the huge JZ thread, so I know a thing or two and I elaborated on everything and web corrected some info. :)
I wonder who stickied it, it was a sticky within a few minutes of posting it. Just did an update to it two days ago.
Supply and Demand...;)
Not a lot of people want that and it won't be cheap and that's why they're only few companies who make parts for our cars. Majority of the owners are teens who want to go fast and either don't want to spend the money or don't have it.
