congrats on the good find. I hope you can rebuild the engine or get a successful swap done. Where in Maryland are you? I am working for DynCorp right now, and I am in the process ( more like begging ) to get a position over in Maryland at Pax River.
I fully agree with the above. Save the cash if you can and get a semi standalone unit, or a full blown EMS. I am saving right now for the AEM, and any time I might need at a shop for Dyno. Since I don't trust Carma to even wash my car it looks like I will be sending it somewhere to have it...
Looks exactly like the one I ripped off of mine when I got it from another member on here. Let me know if you need it and if so then I will sell you mine. They want $97 for that? $50 plus shipping for mine man. I am not out to rip anyone off and I don't want it sitting in the shed anymore. Let...
If you need a rear pan let me know. Got one sitting in the shed with bolts. clean from the machine shop too. Looks good for a sitter....3 years and still in great shape. I wish you the best with that swap too
I looked below at what models it fits and it shows it fits the twin turbo supra. Which is why I brought it up. I wasn't sure if manifolds for the GE would fitthe GTE or not. So now that is cleared up...lol. They MTR manifolds are nice but I honestly can't justify $1000 for a manifold. I...
Now why can't I have someone like Albert live near me? All I have is a crappy shop in Nashville that doesn't know a thing about Supras even though they claim to be "experts"
Yeah they can be salvaged easily. clean the outside of the plug wires with degreaser, and the same for the plugs. for the inside of the plug wires, use degreaser and then use electronics cleaner inside of there. This will ensure that all the degreaser and oil is gone from inside there. At least...
looks like some leaking around the snap ring on the bov as well. As far as the elbow goes, I would take it to an exhaust shop and have them put a spot weld where it is leaking. For the tps area, put a new gasket on there or use some FIPG and you'll be set.
Isn't that plasti dip stuff on the car the kind that you can just peel off when you get tired of it? Would make it very easy to redo a panel if it gets scratched or something.
I have been looking on Flea Bay and found a manifold for my 2JZGTE with single turbo. This is going in my MK3 so I was wondering if some of the guys and gals in here that are running a 2J can chime in and let me know if you think this will work as far as the DP fitment. I hope the link works. If...
Thank you for notifying me of this.....It was rather obvious at first but I guess I looked at it right after it was posted and saw it was in the Cars For Sale section...... Hmmmm guess I was wrong then. Someone must have moved it before you saw this. Damn those mods for doing the right thing.
dude you posted this in the for sale section.... not the general section. This needs to either be moved by the mods or you might as well snap a few pics, and put the standard info at the top and make it official.
But just to humor you on your request, being this is an 88 turbo that has been...
Showed my wife and she said it is me 100%. She said whenever I have parts incoming, and I see the UPS or FedEx or even USPS pull up, I jump off the couch and run to the door. I never paid attention to it....just comes natural I guess
