How is the R154 on a chaser longer? I would assume there is a shifter extention and assume the bellhousing is no different from a supra 1jz
1. Drive shaft: Get a R154 DS if that is the trans you have do not Frankenstein it with a W58. If its stock or aluminum balance is everything
2. Clutch Kit: Rockauto.com elmhurst toyota ebay all sell stock clutches. I would guestimate 250/3 for a stock and 500+ for a performance clutch.

Safety, doesn't look like it has an ignition switch to start the car. So in an event of an accident they can stop fuel flow with a flick of a switch to avoid huge fires or feed fires that were started. Just my opinion tho, could be for some totally different reason.

pump the clutch, hold it down then open the valve to let out the air, repeat. Am I missing something here?
You stated hold it down then open valve, TSRM says to press pedal down while opening valve.
