    plate at the back of the engine bay. last four numbers should be the transmission code. a original manual would either have r154 or w58

    $700-800 stock rebuild of head with it decked and cleaned. mine came to 739.99 and that was with a top end gasket kit and some helicoils in the exhuast side of the head

    Upgrade to a metal head gasket and arp's so you don't have to keep going back to him.

    lol. could be reasons but idk what you have done to your car or if you have touched it but I was changing my oil and somehow mine came off on #1 cylinder, probaly came off when i dropped oil cap in spark plug valley, and it wouldn't idle at all

    check for lose plug wires on the plug or coilpack and learn about your car and how it works before posting stupid questions

    when i get done with replacing my hg i am leaving mine off on a usdm ecu. also my friend james has his off on an 89 turbo without the egr on usdm and it runs great.

    doesnt help. still 3-4 cranks to start. took it for a ride today got the water fall sound then got it in and parked it and found the milkshake in the spark plug valley up to the spark plugs. started to tear it apart to get the head off

    there is oil in the spark plug valley, no waterfall, no coolant spitout from the the reservoir, and did blow off a coolant line on the back of the motor last sunday while just getting into boost at 4 psi

    it starts up fine but cranks over 4 or 5 times before starting the idles at 1.3k then drops to 5-6 hundred and is sputtering

    I know there are probaly hundreds of these threads around but did not seem to find this symptom which is hard cold starting, could it be coolant in the combustion chamber before start up, after it has cooled down and sat overnight

    I just snapped off the bottom one today. I took it to a machine shop to drill it out, then put a helicoil in it.
