thanks. i think it's a step closer....sadly i quickly tried it this morning but it did not work. I suspect the problem is the cable between the amp and head unit...because i keep getting bad results...not getting any closer.
---------EDIT!!!------
there's one discrepancy and it's an...
holy shit it sold for 122.50!! i guess someone wanted the salvageable parts to make $$ off of + frame scrap $$... thats a lot for such a pile of shit. LOL.
but i suppose if you found a buyer the glass, rims, body panels and some interior would be worth a few hundred dollars...
that's really interesting. That original design and setup can still be achieved though...all the stuff minus shocks is there still, right? I know it would have been better stock like that but my point is just if we can still get the performance we were supposed to....
Man...i felt like my...
i think....i....love you.....
:biglaugh: j/k
AWESOME stuff man I appriciate that a lot, and i appriciate it INCREDIBLY if it works...which it looks like it should. I just got a little overwhelmed and pissed that my colors didn't seem to be in the diagrams and blahblahblah blah...
does anyone have any ideas? i'm at a loss....
That wiring diagram given to me by Jeff is nice but...my car's harness doesnt even have the same colors.... maybe its the wrong year? I have a 1986.5 supra...
:( so close yet so impossibly stuck.
one person mentioned running it off a cliff.....
I would uh...well...hmm.. what would i do.
i cant think of anything worth my time except for putting a stuffed fake human/straw scarecrow in the drivers seat, and push the whole thing off a cliff. it would be neat to see it drive off a cliff...
it's not a car.
it's a pile of random car PARTS bolted together....with some metal scaffolding and sections of a cut up exercise machine welded up as well.
period.
hahahahahahaah......i'm not even going to bother. this damn thing popped up in an eBay supra search and it's...well... it looks like it took one to the rear....and the front actually. hell it took it everywhere...
so basically you pirated stuff and your ISP caught you?
do you always have to be careful with that? I have SBC should I worry? well...I'm worried already....haha. but seriously...uh... i'm kinda unaware of whatever happened to you...and i'd like to know more.
OK i'm about ready to give up. I tried re-arranging and i got the head unit to make a little noise when i grounded it... but then i realised, or so i thought, that my speaker wires were incorrect... I looked at each speaker in my car and verifyed what color each speaker's wires were so i...
----------EDITED TWICE NOW ---------
Jeff (or anyone)- I think i understand the images now... there are 11 of the wires covered on this diagram and then some more wires covered on the other diagrams.... pieced together I think i should be able to figure out what colors should go where...
there is only ONE plug hole in the back of my sterio. and I was told my model needs an external amplifyer. is there anyway you guys know of that i can figure out if it needs an external amp or not?
I was told that my specific sterio has NO amp.... and the amp i bought has a plug to match...
ok... as in my last post - still no luck but i tried again when it happened to be dark and i noticed the backlighting on the knob and left side area of the head unit was glowing with a pulshing kind of flash. not constant, not bright... and only a little. so stuff is still messed up.
I know...
Sooo why are the rear speakers not needed? just enough sound coming from the fronts? I was just curious i'm really close to having sound in my supra for the first time so... i dont have any idea what sportscar sound is like. heh.
ok i plugged it in...no luck.
I changed my radio fuses, one in the cabin and one under the hood, both were blown. NOW MY CLOCK WORKS!!! i'm happy about that...
but the stereo...no luck, no lights...the only thing it does is make a VERY faint noise, almost a click but its very very faint...
Thanks for all your help guys
blue pearl - can you remember which colors you switched?
Jeff - thanks! I'm still kinda confused though... I dont see anywhere to run the wire, unless it is paired up with some other wires... what on that diagram do you see that makes you know i should use it...
