I do not want to remove the block from the car.I had rebuilt it 2.5 years ago and its seems to be okay.
I know what you are talking about. I forgot the name...Those plugs on the block.I could remove them and wash the coolant passages and put in new plugs.
Cheers,
Roy
Hi guys,
1/. How do u remove the locating pins on the block without damaging them?
2/. Is there a good way to clean the water jackets in the block with the head off and engine in the car?
Cheers,
Roy
Call up Rob's Auto Machine in Hayward...Those guys build race engines and have worked on Supra engines.
They charge $50-$60 to get the head machined on their CBN which is capable of producing good finishes for Metal Head Gaskets.
Real friendly guys too.

Roy
And probably would design a better cooling system where coolant enters 3 cylinders water jackets simultaneouly and not in series like the 7m.
Make the underside of the car all flat like the ferraris and have venturis built in the body of the car like f1 cars.
And of course Variable Vane...
If I hade unlimited budget I would get everything made out of titanium and carbon fiber....engine, chasis, body panels, interior...everything...

Well I will using my head from the car.
I will have it machined on a CBN machine and it will cost me $50 to have the deck machined ready for my HKS metal head gasket.
To do the valves and check if they leak will cost me another $100. I will replace the stem seal myelf...probably have them...
My mistake...Its been 3 years since I rebuilt my engine.
I noticed head gasket symptons about months ago....but the car still had plenty of power and never overheated, coolant level was consistent, etc.
I have been meaning to get a spare head and get everything done to it incase my current...
Hi Guys,
I was going on the Dumbarton bridge and half way over the bridge I could feel my car losing power. Lucky for me I had already climbed up the rising slope of the bridge and so I could just coast downhill and off the bridge.
My insurance company could not get a tow truck to tow me...
Hi guys,
I ran a sample on Carbon Fiber with a new resin and it looks good. The Cf weave is alittle distored in one area as you can see but it was due to my handling...This can be easily prevented by being more careful when I handle the fabric.
I will have clear urethane coating sprayed on...

Roy
