The night before I blew my headgasket I had a dream of me in my supra and something went wrong and I remember seeing ocean around. I cant remember the rest of the dream.
The next day my supra blew the head gasket on dumbbarton bridge surrounded by the ocean...
I only remembered the dream...
Well on horsepower freaks, they said the titan gasket should be good for 500 hp...
Right now I want to achieve 450hp and then think about 500hp plus.
I know if i get the stopper in now, I do not have to worry bout it later on

The head was machined and 0.010" was taken off.
I only lapped the block and checked with a straight edge.
I checked the straight edge at work on our granite surface plate and it was flat..
I checked the block from side to side n diagonally a few times and its flat after lapping.
Now I...
10 thou of the head and I lapped the block...
Guess I could use a 2mm head gasket.
I wonder how it will be like running a 1.2mm HKS gasket...it would increase the compression but then I would have more chances of detonation.
Maybe adding water injection would solve that problem right...
I just got my head machined...and I lapped the block.
1/. What thickness head gasket should I use to retain stock compression.?
2/. If i decide to use the HKs 1.2mm gasket how much will my compression raise by and how will this affect my ability for more boost?

Roy
You must be joking...You cannot do that...
Just go buy the thicker head gasket if you need it.
Do it right the first time and save yourself lots of stress later.

Roy
I found this out on the web...
You could order supra stock parts.

I lapped the block today with diamond paste. Had no problems holding it. I just layed my hands on it and moved the plate in a figure "8" motion.
It was really easy. I wish I had done this before.
It took me 2 hours to get 85% done. Only 3 areas around the water jackets in the block on the...
