I thought the 2jz-gte water pump was a hydro water pump. Is it the one from us or jdm?

I don't know what's wrong but the 2jz water pump doesn't fit. It isn't direct bolt on. Is the water pump supposed to be from a 2jz-ge or a 2jz-gte? If it is able to fit, there is fabrication needed. I heard a 1jz-gte from a soarer has a mechanical water pump. I'm going to see if I can get one...

My car is still down right now. I'm swapping over to the 2jz mechanical water pump and I gotta hook up the power steering. I NEED to get my ECU fixed soon so I can get it inspected!! Hopefully it'll be done by then. If not I' still be there with the other one.

Never mind... I'm stupid... I got the water pump out... Now i'm trying to get the housing off. I think its just one more nut behind the housing. I hope.

I have all the bolts i can see off the water pump... the pump is wiggling around but won't come out all the way. I pulled out six bolts off of the water pump. Help Please.

What's IIRC? Is that all that has to come off?

I started to rip shit apart under the hood... I got the water pump to wiggle a lot, but there is one bolt I can't see somewhere. Can anyone that has done the water pump swap on the 1jz give me a hand? What all needs to be taken off to get this damn water pump off? If someone can help me one day...

So with the housing for the 2jz pump, it will bolt on with no additional changes or fabrications? Will the 1jz hydraulic water pump and housing fit on the 2jzgte engine? If not, anyone have an extra 2jz water pump housing laying around that they'll sell?

Yea that's what i was planning on doing... i got a deal for a pump and pulley for 50... Now i just have to install it and hook up my powersteering and get my ecu fixed and I'm ready to roll!

I have two electric fans setup right now but my water pump isn't hooked up. What all do I need to use the 1jz water pump with 2 electric fans?

So you can use the 7m ac high pressure lines for the 1jz and the 2jz on the mk3 supra. Thanks guys!

transistor or capacitor? Cause if it's the capacitor... then we've also solved why these capacitors are blowing in the ecu's

Figured out what it was.... There is one extra wire on the body harness that shouldn't be hooked up to the computer. I'm not sure what it goes to yet. I'm going to figure it out so this problem will be completely resolved. Just go throught the wires until you narrow it down to which one...

Guess not. Needs a radiator now. I'll pour some coolant into the radiator and it leaks right out FAST! This blows:cry:
