i just bought a set too for $175 shipped! we sure did get some good deals on them. i plan on running 225/50 up front and 245/50 in the rear. i'll probably get some spacers too to make them flush with the fenders.
sweet project. i'm doing the exact same thing right now with my '88 na. i just pulled the motor out last weekend and will be putting my rebuilt 7mgte in this weekend. i'll def be keeping a watch on your thread now. car looks great too, wingless pre89 ftw!
hey boris, what size tire did you run when you had your na mkiv rims? and i remember you had some spacers for them too, what sizes were they? i plan on getting some kyb shocks and not sure on the springs yet. i'd like the car to be a little higher in the rear. any suggestions? thanks
car looks great! i remember seeing it on ebay a while back. definitely has come a long way since you got it. are those springs the rs-r lowering springs or race springs?
ugh, i'm at work so i can't watch the vid. i would think it being faster than expected is a good thing. awesome work though, good to see it being all wrapped up now.
dp's with an integrated elbow are always said to be better. and since you have the bottle-necked hks dp right now i would think it would be a definite improvement. the whole recirculated part wouldn't be as noisy as the non. plus, if you get the ddp then i can take your 3" elbow off your hands...
car looks sick and loved the video. its awesome how you have few engine mods done to the car and its still that fast with upgraded suspension, wheels and tires. very nice!
just went through every page, wow. this whole thread is very inspiring like others have said.
as for cutting the front bumper, i was thinking maybe two separate rectangles that maybe go the length of the intercooler fins. but if you've already cut the bumper up it probably won't work with that.
i'm just doing a stock rebuild with arp head bolts and rod bolts and a titan mhg. with all the gaskets, bearings, pumps, and machine work i'm at just under $2000. i even found the motor for $130 for the rebuild.
wow. something like that happened to me. some guys were talking shit to a friend of mine about how his car was slow. then they looked at me and told my friend to watch out for me and my skyline, that i'd kill anything out there. i laughed so hard after that.
love the new r6's. is that a little shorty exhaust on it? i know they come with one but that one looks even shorter than stock. your car looks great too, nice and clean.
awesome looking build you've got going. i saw you mentioned you were port matching the exhaust side of the head. i've read many many times that its recommended not to do so. maybe you should search for it before you do anything.
i've done some reading on swapping a 4age or 4agze into my '95 corolla. the few things i've read that you'll have to change would be the wiring harness of course and you might need to lengthen power steering hoses and the main fuel hose. other than that it should just drop right in. theres some...
