ha well thanks for the correction guys. i printed the "49 steps to 7m removal" thread on here and thats where it said to disconnect that line. i'll definitely be taking the bolt off ya'll pointed out. thanks again!
nope def not trying to disconnect it at the wrong place. i did it the same way while pulling my own motor and while it was tough to get apart it worked. its the connection right by the clutch slave. my idea of fixing it was to cut the rubber part of the hose and when we put the motor back in...
so i'm working on pulling the motor out of my buddys 7mgte swapped 86.5 and one of the fittings on the fuel return line under the car by the transmission has rounded off and we can't get the two ends apart. we got about a 1/2 turn out of it before it rounded off and now won't turn anymore. if i...
ha good idea on the insurance. i bumped mine up too when i swapped my motor. i've built mine up myself and my roommate is collecting parts to do the same swap i did. so if you need help sometime let me know. we go to school in milledgeville so we're not too far away. maybe when you're done with...
can't wait to see it in person Chris. hopefully me and Shaun will be at the next meet at the end of August. and hopefully i'll have a few new mods installed too :evil2:
the leak is coming from the exact same place as it did when i first found it before i swapped the gaskets. so it might be that the surfaces aren't straight or something right where its leaking.
so i swapped my throttle body gasket to a stock metal throttle body gasket. i took it out for a drive and the bov was back sounding like it should almost. but at a stop the idle does the same thing and wants to die like before. i pull up to my apartment, pop the hood and can hear a huge vacuum...
well i hooked up my boost leak tester and found a boost and vacuum leak. fixed the boost leak. the vacuum leak is in the throttle body gasket. so i'll be going by toyota to get a new gasket and get it replaced asap. it was putting out a decent amount of air and when i sprayed some water on it it...
haha that was awesome.
anyway i checked all my vacuum lines yesterday and they all seem fine. also the bov isn't flowing air out at idle. i'm going to hook up my boost leak tester in a few minutes. hopefully that will show me something.
i have cooleeze ic pipes so i can't put a stock bov on to check. i'll def be hooking up my boost leak tester tomorrow to check for vacuum and boost leaks. i'll also check my tps again and report back.
first off i have a problem with my bov. its a hks copy i bought from driftmotion and i have it vented to atm. i started having idle issues so i recirculated it to see if that would help. the idle problem didn't happen as often but it definitely was still there. so i vented it to atm again and...
i was just jacking the car up to switch the downpipe and my right wheel was all loose. had a friend shack it while i looked under and my camber bolt is loose. which would also explain why my wheel looked to have negative camber going on before. i'm going to tighten it up and see how it does...
either my suspension or something with the steering is making a pop noise. it'll happen when i have the wheel at or close to full lock to the left, when i come to a stop from a decent speed, or while turning under low speeds. it seems to be coming from the right side. i've taken the wheel off...
