Yes...Euro spec MA70 from 1991 till 1992 had an oil warning light which
indicated low oil pressure.
It was positioned where the TEMS cluster should be. Euro spec mk3s
never came with TEMS,so the place was empty for Toyota to use it.
Nice work man :biglaugh:
Gongrats on the engine bay.
A clean motor is a happy motor :biglaugh::biglaugh::sarcasm:
I see your single and I remember my twins :naughty:
One day I will go there to (single :sarcasm:)...one day bro...
Again nice job.
Mine is a 1991 turbo targa ,and I have never changed the seals....:sarcasm:
And guess what....I don't have any leaks :sarcasm:
It has some flex without the sport roof on.
But when it's on again,then it's 100% like a hard top.
You've got to love the sport roof, even though I don't ride much...
Nice setup 'suprahero'
Have you raced a Z06 vette? I think you'll have it....:biglaugh:
And what about 500-550 bhp 4wheelers like Evos or Subarus?
I am asking cause my power goal is about 600 whp....and you are
close to that number :sarcasm:,...ofcaurse when I'll go single :biglaugh:
For...
Thanks for the good words everybody :biglaugh:
I try to do my best on upgrading my car....
In some days...new other performace parts will arrive
These parts will not add any HP,but will make the car more efficient
and run with much lower operating temperatures.
But one part will...
This week I installed the HID 8000K xenon system into my headlights...
The oil filter relocation kit along with a 10 row...but BIG oil cooler
(16 inch long,8 inch height,2.5 inch thick),now I can change the oil filter
in seconds :biglaugh: Not only that, but I saw a decrease in water...
It is a very difficult job to chop and reduce weight from the crank :nono:
Only if you know exactly what are you doing, and have the best and precise
machinery...then you can procide :sarcasm:
Thanks man.
No it didn't come with TEMS.Euro spec mk3s never came with TEMS system.
I installed the system on my car years ago...It is not a big deal :sarcasm:
With wiring diagrams and some custom wiring,it is not difficult to do it.
I bought the Tokico illumina II - TEMS compatible shocks...
When I start thinking of how much money I've put into my mk3 I
wasn't feeling so good, ha ha ha......need a medic!!!
8.000 euros on my 7M (fixing things,laybour,oyota parts,performance parts
which I only took it to about 370 whp...:icon_mad:)
11000 euros on...
Somewhere I heard (maybe my mechanic) that the 7M crank had a better
average on fuel consumption...which is cause of the more balanced and
2 more counterweights and generally heavier 7M crank.
Also the 7M idles smoother and a little bit lower on rpms (100 rpms lower
than the 6M)....But the...
So what do you suggest? The only thing I haven't upgrade is the
radiator...and I won't do it cause there is no room for an aftermarket
bigger aluminum radiator :nono: The fan will hit the radiator :naughty:
10W40 now in the summer, and in the winter I am thinking to change to
10W30 like Toyota book says...
I use the full synthetic Redline high viscosity engine oil
Is the 10W40 to thick? And it raises my oil pressure a bit?
I have a 2jzgte with stock twins.
I will tell you about my oil pressure which I think is :aigo: to much!!!!
At idle (operating temps) I have 35-40 psi (2.2 - 2.4 kgm) of oil pressure
and at cruising (3k) I got about 80-90 psi (4.8 - 5.4 kgm),and when I do full
throttle I got 120 - 130 psi...
A very good and complete cooling system.
Now let me describe my cooling system:
(I have a 2jzgte with stock twins)
-New 7mgte 1991 radiator
-New 7mgte radiator cap (0.9 bar)
-Stock 7mgte fan shroud...like new
-Stock engine undercover
-New 2jzgte mechanical pump
-New 2jzgte coupling
-New...
Yeah...1200 F (600'C) is damn to low for the highest EGT :aigo:
My sensor is located near the Y pipe on the twins. And the highest temp.
I've seen is 1330 F (700'C)...
Which do you think are the peak warnings of the:
Exhaust temps,Water temp,Oil temps...?
I say...Exhaust: 1600-1700 F
Water : 220-230 F
Oil : 250-260 F
Post your knowlegment and facts that you have seen while driving supras!
Which are the highest temps you've...
