There are various reasons you would want to do it. Of course using the AEM is the number 1 reason because then you can plug and play the AEM unit.

LOL. $300 for the ECU plugs? Next time you need one, let me know, I'll sell them for $250! heheheheh
When I say "share info" I mean on WHERE to buy the ECU plugs. Autosport doesn't make them... and if I pay $300 for the ECU plugs, and then add in labor of making the harness, then it would be...
I haven't set it yet, it will depend on the exact cost of the parts and the labor involved in making them. Right now I have a set on the way to make one, and I'm gauging interest.
It wasn't easy, and no one was willing to share any information with me. Even AEM, who I'm going to be helping...
Hey everyone,
I have located all of the parts needed to make a jumper harness to run a 2JZGTE ECU (stock, plug and play AEM, Autronic, or whatever you want), on a 1JZGTE engine.
For that matter, I can make a jumper harness for just about anything... 2JZGTE/Autronic, for example.
Any...
Thanks! Doing my best, you should see the '01 Corolla turbo build that we recently finished :D Plus we have a 2JZ/MK3 at the shop right now, and a 2JZ/240SX coming in :)

Yes, like that. The neutral start switch doesn't really have anything to do with the ECU, you should be able to use either one.

The Soarer and Chaser are pretty similar as far as the ECU wiring. If you like, I can wire that up for you plug and play: http://www.phoenixtuning.com/

As mentioned, number one is to check for power at the power wire of the coils and the ignitor. Make sure that the check engine light is on when the key is in the on position. If both of them check out, run the codes on the ECU. Check out my website for some ideas or if you want me to go through...
Yes, you need to jumper the neutral safety switch. There should be a plug near your tranny that has a large black wire and black/white wire on it. If you jump them, then the car should crank. Of course, it could be a number of other problems too, but you do need to do that for sure. Please...
Already tried two different ECUs, no change. I'll check out the IDL wire though.
I wire these up all the time and never have seen this problem before, but I normally do them in Supras, not 240s. The cost on this conversion in a Supra is $450 plus $30 for shipping for a plug and play harness.

Hey everyone,
I've ran into a problem that has me stumped. I have a car with an Aristo 2JZ swapped in. The ECU being used is the Aristo automatic 2JZ unit. The engine runs, but for some reason it will NOT rev over 4000 rpm. When it gets to about 4000, it starts popping and backfiring. I've...
