yea it did it all the time until the sound got unbearable and we ripped it out it started when he couldnt go into third and would have to bang third for it to go in and then it got worse from there on in obviously his tranny was mistreated ehich i would never do to my car but hey to each his own...

yea im pretty sure your gonna have to do a rebuild because 1st and 3rd gear sound like their missing a couple teeth my friends did the same and he started to pop out which sucked especially when he wanted to run lol

it may be your linkage my boys linkage was loose and he was still driving the car fine just not beating on it

yea its def missing teeth my boys 1st and 2nd was screwed it did the same exact thing we had to rip it out and bebuild it when you take your foot off the clutch in neutral you hear a kind of grinding noise am i correct?

it is the throw out bearing sounds to me like your missing teeth on 1st and 3rd gear time for a rebuild its only going to get worse and eventually pop out and you definitely dont want that

7mgte swap is your best bet but if time and funds arent available at the moment part it out

r-154 is stronger and will last longer obviously it had to deal with more stress in turbocharged cars save for a 154 it will be well worth it in the long run
