Yes the 1zz coils are the much better route than the stock JZ coils with a DLI.

Wasted spark sucks. Sequential is much better, although that would mean you would have to upgrade your standalone to something better than the Stinger.

Have you tried heat shrinking the coil packs? You should have been about 150-200 HP higher than that.
