I have my tank down, , the old pump is off, old pump has (2) blue wires going to the (+) and (1) black wire going to the ( - ) on the new pump. the wiring harness has (1) red , (1) black do I splice the black to black ?? and the red to the (2) blues...

i tried to rub out some stratches an buff it out last summer but all I ended up doing was rubbing the red off...... Will
