This makes sense as far as the reading/measurement goes, but wouldn't velocity pressure still be exerted in the manifold as long as the air is in motion?
::dead horse::
i know, i know I'll stop beating Mr Ed now, it really doesnt matter; A signal is sent and the ECU/EMS knows what it is...
right, I phrased the question wrong. I understand what absolute pressure is and how it is different from atmospheric or ambient pressure.
what I should have asked was when the map sensor takes a pressure reading is it only reading the static pressure in the manifold but accounts for the...
very good info, thanks for taking your time to write it.
one question with a map sensor - is the "absolute pressure" in the manifold the sum of the static pressure and velocity pressure?
Thats just great. It shows how intelligent they think their customers are.
Sometimes the manufacturers are total mega douche bags....
Gran Tourismo 5 prologue will not have damage on the cars to begin with because many of the manufacturers didn't want to see their new models "deformed"....
wow, now thats a deal! :sarcasm:
according to the formula I should be good with 550's. I think I would need to rebuild the motor with forged internals before it could reliably handle the horsepower achieved with 680's, its currently rebuilt with only stock internals.
thanks for the link!
i have always thought a variation or modified Do-luck type 1 and the bomex kit might look good, and it has a large opening to show off a big aftermarket intercooler... but i am not 100% sure i would do it to my car....
But I might go bomex back/sides with just a lip and the newer stock front.
the only reason a dog ever sets foot in my G35 is because the wife insists she rides with us some times..... i hate dog hairs getting all over the place, so I really couldnt handle a dog shit explosion..... that dogs ass was a WMD.
Councillor Harmann: Down here, sometimes I think about all those people still plugged into the Matrix and when I look at these machines I... I can't help thinking that in a way... we are plugged into them.
Neo: But we control these machines; they don't control us.
Councillor Harmann: Of...
Trial by error does give accurate feedback.....eventually. Besides with the extra heat the ct generates above 12psi you could always roast chickens under the hood, AND selling them might help pay for the new turbo!
Seriously though if you have high mileage you probably should not push it over...
