They are a lot of fun to drive. The first time I drove one it was interesting since you diddn't loose boost at all between shifts. If felt very powerful.
Delco doesn't really produce many of their own parts anymore, you are generally paying for the name. I to will continue to run my piece of shit filters on my engine that doesnt have some retarded high oil pressure. IUt works for everyone else, why it doesn't work for you dude? I dunno.
The R (racing series filters) are only offered in Chevy V8(both sizes) and Some Ford engines as well. LS series V8's yatta yatta.
They filter slightly worse, flow better and have a higher burst pressure, but thats pretty much all.
I have people coming in with 600-700 HP hotrod/drag cars, and have never had a burst filter. You either got a bad one, or your engine is seriously fubar.
Part 51348 is for the 7MGE and GTE. The other part number listed is a nominally smaller filter, why use a smaller filter?
I pulled up...
Great upgrade!
I would love to get my hands on a 911.
How much did you pay? And please, convert it back to at least one year's style. Its gonna be difficult for you to convert it all back to 65 but find an 80's parts car and make it look stock again lol
Mine is a 79.
The only modifications Ive done are redrilling the stock stronglight cranks to fit newer crank bolts. and a new rear wheel for fixedgearness.
Here it is, Me and my bike as of a few days ago.
It rides very well. I'm impressed how well it rides for a converted road bike thats 30...
