    spiller's JZA70 build-up

Gorgeous car! Think I might have to dye my carpet too after looking at that. Came out great and there is just way too much gray in there right now lol

    727 Chrysler Transmission

Look at his mod list, the stock A340 wouldn't hold half what that turbo can make. He opted to go for an American auto over building a stocker. Not uncommon at all... But using a 727 is. How do you like the Megasquirt? Planning on building one for my car this winter, and possibly a few more for...

    Lean a good thing?

I don't even know where to start with this... The LOWER the number the RICHER the AFRs are, NOT the other way around. I can't believe you even went WOT again after you saw it running in the 15s. You need to get bigger injectors immediately, that thing is going to blow up. I'm honestly surprised...

    boosted 1jz

He's on stock twins. You can bump up the boost until you hit cut, then turn it down a bit so it doesn't happen anymore. Like I said in your build thread, start saving to go single. lol

    Crank pulley bolt removal

When I'm replacing the timing belt I always use the starter trick to break it loose. With a bolt in there, you're probably better off doing it by hand. Stick a bar or something into the teeth on the flywheel to hold the motor. The torque spec for that bolt is something like 195ft lbs... Good...

    Gt4082 Vane style turbo?

People have manually controlled Holset variable vane turbos with no ill effects. I have seen both wastegate actuators and spring setups used. There is a MKIV on SF using an HE351VE with a waste gate (also externally gated, this is JUST for controlling the vanes). I seem to remember him saying...

    Twin turbo 302 v8 swap

You might as well just run a stock junkyard motor if you're not going with an aftermarket block. You can make enough power to split a stock block in half with just about any turbo setup at low boost. What H/C/I are you going with? FI or carb? What are you using for engine management...

    R154 here I come

Oh yeah, parts are much cheaper here. Didn't notice your location. I've seen R154s as cheap as $200 in used but working condition here. That explains it.

    Who has the oldest Supra?

lol those Futurama pics kill me. Thread title is oldest Supra, not oldest MKIII, so he's technically right. My dad had a decent MKI, I have a picture of it somewhere if you guys want to see it? lol

    R154 here I come

Good lord you got taken! It's an R154 not a V160. Grand for install is probably right if you pay a shop to do it, though. Do it yourself! It's not difficult. Just nuts and bolts.

1ggte style intake and intercooler pipes on 7mgte

I can't see any advantage to this whatsoever. The pipes look tiny. Hommersimpson did something similar on his 7M a few years ago, look into that. Wrong section, too.

    Nos 7mgte???

Does it really matter? More than half the automotive community use nos and nitrous interchangeably, especially a lot of older gear heads. It's not much different from using the word boosted. More often than not, people assume it means turbocharged. It can also refer to a supercharged car, but it...
