If the compressor won't kick on, it's probabally out of refrigerant. What you need to do it take a jumper wire from your battery and probe the positive side of the clutch connector from behind with a sewing needle or a t pin. It should turn on. Now you can start filling.

Yes it severely helps sound, but all the sony stuff is killing you. I'd just say stick with what you have until you feel like spending money on decent speakers and an amp. It's amasing how much better things sound with more than 20 watts going to the speakers.
I think i said that in a confusing way. I meant my 6.5 comps in the doors are too deep and my window won't close, AND i'm working on a glass box in the spare tire well for a sub or two. I don't really want anthing big so maybe a 10 or two.
