Some sort of electrical gadget near the fuse box

It's looks like a 12v relay. I've used one similar to wire in electric fans so that they can be used with a temp sensor and turn on at a certain temp

Official Addiction - Glutton for punishment! 1987 Rebuild

Some of you may remember my 89 2jz build. Well, that ended because I gave up and moved on. Too many issues. Part of me was happy that I did, and part of me still kicks myself, but we all live and learn. As a follow-up on that thread, she runs well. I wish the future owners the best and hope she...

Minor Issues, first start 7mgte. TPS error 41

Confirmed error 31, bad AFM. Car runs great without it plugged in up until 3K rpm. Good throttle response and all. Plug the AFM in and bleh... right on it's face. I exhausted every possible wire issue before trying to unplug the AFM to make sure there were no other issues present. I also found...

Minor Issues, first start 7mgte. TPS error 41

Ok, so a better airfilter and intake set up did not fix error 31. I will be trying a good afm here in a day or so. I have also restored my water temp gauge functionality. Now I just need to get my oil psi to work right.... any tips? It's a new sender.

Minor Issues, first start 7mgte. TPS error 41

I have not been able to check this closely, but what are the wire colors for the 87 model year for the oil psi sensor, water temp sensor, and water temp gauge? Those gauges do not work, so I think I have them crossed. The connectors were missing from the harness so I had to make connectors.

i'm sick of it... i want my motor

Not bad, depending on what all is being done. I had my glaze on the cylinders broken to allow the new rings to seat, the new rings fitted, everything mic'ed and cleaned, hot tanked, honed where necessary to keep stock clearances for the new bearings, and polished where applicable. I did all of...

i'm sick of it... i want my motor

Took me 3 weeks and $872 for my machining from Abacus Racing and The Head Shop. I would recommend both highly to anyone. Don't be so impatient lol

Minor Issues, first start 7mgte. TPS error 41

Lol Anyways - I got the car running and idling today with the newer ct-26. So far so good, minus my random afm issue. I checked it per TSRM, using a multimeter on THA and E2 on the afm. The dial on the multimeter was set to 2000 (not 2000K) and I read 1585 while it is 38 degrees F here. Is that...

Looking at rims for the next several weeks

I was not looking for narrow, and I was willing to go higher. I did not know much about what sizes were best for our cars and that is why I posted in the first place. : p Now I know that 7 is too skinny. But as for cheap, I did decide to go with something simple for now and save up for much...

Looking at rims for the next several weeks

Actually, I had some Mustang replicas on my 89. I found a set I like though. It's a good deal imo, and it leaves me some money for other mods and will do until I get dished rims later. Thanks akito! I keep thinking about it and like them more and more. 16x8 in the front, 16x9 in...

Looking at rims for the next several weeks

I like those quite a bit. I have decided I may be just buying rims with good tires on them for now to replace my 2 flats and 2 bad tires (all stock sawblades).

Looking at rims for the next several weeks

I'm in Hampton Roads. If I could find some 17x9-10 that would be awesome for the rear... but so far no luck on 17x7-8 in the front and 17x9-10 in the rear rims in 5 spoke that have black or gun-metal that don't cost an arm and a leg.

Looking at rims for the next several weeks

Ok, so I am currently searching for rims that are nice looking and affordable. I like 5-spoke rims with lips, but I have not made a decision yet. So far my finds are: 1) MSW Type 14 17x7 in the front and 17x8 in the rear 2) MSW Type 16 17x8 all around 3) Enkei Performance EV5 17x7 all...
