poodles got it right as to why its froze on there. You lub the gasket for 2 reasons.. one so it dont stick and two so it slides as you tighten it. I ALWAY FILL the oil filter before installing on any car i work on.....Take the damn filter housing off if you have to... you could have taken it off...

You need to break it down or be more exact.. If they want 500 to resurface the head and only resurface ... then thats way way to much... 45-100.. 100 being a mirror finish to... decking a block cost tad more because its more labor i guess to lift the block up lol.. cost me 125 to have block...

take a 6mm allen socket if you have one if not cut a peace off a allen wrench and use a 6mm 1/4 socet... grind just a tad off all 6 sides and i mean just a tad... use hammer and drive it in...

the original opening feeds intercooler.. im going to make a splash pan that will force the lower middle opening's air up between the intercooler and rad... the left air duct under fog light opening will feed transmission cooler and the right one will feed the oil cooler and the allready remote...
whats hotter radiator or turbo ? and fact its out in open it is way way cooler then if it was over the turbo thats 700+ and radiator is only 180.....when i get to work tomorrow.. as soon as i pull in i will hit both pipes with the infared temp guage.
