Broke a spring? Heck, I was revving to 8K with stock springs! (although not stock anymore) Truth is, drag racing does break parts. lol
My list off the top of my head:
OEM crank damper (now custom ATI)
Sheared off flywheel bolts
Rear sub frame
Traction bar
Turbo split in half
CF drive shaft...
That is ok for cruising but you are not "cruising" at the track. If you crash, those small shoe box tools could end up in the side of your head. Again, safety first. As for someone being able to have 12 people in the car? :3d_frown:
I run a 26x10.5 ET Street and hooked decent on my old set-up. A few guys run this tire in the 9's. You could go bigger (27) like Tun_x did aka Jason but I think his car is almost stock height.
Janz, you might want to build the 2J if you plan on going that fast. ;)
Drag racing is fun and like anything, costs money which many people are not willing to do. I personally love it and do it from time to time. The Supra is a great car as they are good for both drag and strip although not...
